Where Curiosity Leads the Way
PHILOSOPHY SNAPSHOT
Preschool Foundation Built on Strong Learning and Emotional Wellbeing
At INAE, learning begins with a child’s own curiosity. Our inquiry-based curriculum draws from Reggio Emilia, Montessori, and social-emotional learning — the same foundations that inform the world’s best international education programmes. Through our Four Pillars, children grow emotionally, socially, and academically within small, nurturing groups.
The Four Pillars
The Child as a Capable Learner
Children are viewed as curious, competent individuals who explore, question, and discover through inquiry-based learning.
Social Emotional Foundation
Emotional regulation, empathy, and resilience are intentionally nurtured every day.
Language Rich Environment
Conversation, storytelling, and vocabulary development are woven into daily experiences.
School Readiness Through Play
Literacy, numeracy, attention skills, and independence develop naturally through purposeful play.

HOW CHILDREN LEARN AT INAE
Learning Through Purposeful Play and Supportive Guidance
At INAE, learning happens through exploration, questioning, hands on materials, and meaningful interaction. Inspired by Reggio Emilia and Montessori principles, children are encouraged to choose, create, and problem solve in a thoughtfully prepared environment.
Through storytelling, collaborative projects, art, movement, and structured outdoor play, children build language, literacy foundations, number sense, physical coordination, and social confidence.
Social emotional learning is woven into every interaction. Calm routines and supportive guidance help children navigate friendships, express themselves clearly, and develop resilience.
What Shapes Our Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed by Dr. Priya Dharshini Duruvasal a Developmental Paediatrician, and integrates four globally respected approaches
Social-Emotional Learning
Emotional intelligence is not a Friday activity at INAE — it is the foundation of every interaction. Children learn to name their feelings, manage big emotions, build friendships, and resolve conflicts with words, not hands.
Reggio Emilia
The child leads. Teachers observe and build on what children discover. Learning is documented and made visible — not through test scores, but through children’s own words, art, and investigations.
Developmentally Appropriate Practice
Every activity is matched to where each child actually is, not where a textbook says they should be. Because understanding child development is the foundation of everything we do at INAE.
Montessori
Real materials. Real independence. Children learn to pour, dress, clean, organise, and care for themselves and their environment. These everyday skills build the concentration, coordination, and confidence that underpin all future academic learning.

FAQ
We offer programs for children aged 1 to 4 years. Each program is designed to support children at different stages of development.
Each day follows a warm and predictable rhythm with storytelling, hands-on activities, outdoor play, art, and quiet reflection. Children build early skills and emotional confidence through these everyday experiences.
We follow a gentle settling process with orientation support and gradual transitions. Consistent routines help children feel safe and comfortable as they adjust to their new environment.
Children learn through purposeful play, hands-on materials, storytelling, art, and real-world experiences. Every activity is matched to where each child is developmentally. The result: children who are curious, confident, and ready for what comes next.

INAE has its own inquiry-based curriculum designed by our founder, a Developmental Paediatrician. Our approach draws from the same pedagogical foundations — Reggio Emilia, Montessori, and social-emotional learning — that inform leading international programmes including the IB Primary Years Programme. While we are not board-affiliated, our children develop the inquiry skills, independence, and confidence that international schools value. Parents consistently tell us their children transition smoothly into IB, Cambridge, and other international school environments.
INAE prepares children not just for school, but for any school. Whether your child moves to an IB, IGCSE, CBSE, or state board environment, they will enter with strong language skills in Tamil and English, social confidence, emotional resilience, and the ability to think independently. We focus on building learners, not teaching content.
Play IS learning — and there are decades of research proving it. When your child sorts leaves by size, they are learning mathematics. When they retell a story with puppets, they are building literacy. When they negotiate with a friend over a toy, they are developing social intelligence that no textbook can teach. By the time your child leaves INAE, they will recognise letters, count with confidence, write their name, and express themselves clearly — all learned through play, never through pressure.
